It’s January 2 and we just turned 2!
Honestly, I do not have any clue on how to thank all the people who are still reading this blog and I can’t express how thankful enough I am to all the people who are writing for Try A Little KPop. So my solution is whenever the blog hit a 1000th milestone on its views I always and will never seize to post a Thank You message on twitter. And I know that is not enough.
So far, we have 44,600+ views and I don’t even know how have we manage to have that many views but that number is huge! So Thank You! Thank You for taking time and reading our blog. Thank You to all those who talk to us here on our blog and on twitter. Thank you for appreciating what we write and letting us voice out our opinions on anything KPop. Thank you for fangirling and fanboying with us. Thank you for loving KPop with us. Just like what we have said on our Christmas greetings, I hope I can wrap up your bias and give them as a gift but that’s literally impossible, so I hope you can just accept virtual hugs as a alternative (っ⌒‿⌒)っ~!
Next, I want to thank Aui, our album ninja, who writes amazing KPop album reviews. “The Key”, who always manages to volunteer to write for me whenever I never manage to write or publish on time and to sehooonah who writes for this blog, Thank you guys! I cannot imagine how this blog will ever survive without all of you!
Thank You So Much!
I am hoping and looking forward to a lot of awesome KPop times with you guys!
Here’s to KPop-ing for years and more!
This was supposed to be an OMO but then again, I have more rants for it and this actually talks about standards and whatnot, so, it became a full-blown Random Thoughts.
Here’s my take on the song-slash-issue on beauty standards.
(Please play the following video for you to fully understand what on Earth am I talking about. Click play please…. Thank You!)
It’s actually nice to see T-ARA doing individual promotions and their company is actually doing great on doing it. The preparation of the company is evidently far from crappy BUT this particular song is not the kind of song that you expect from the company and from Brave Brothers. They are all better than this.
Although I have failed to publish my review on Jiyeon’s MV, I think that it was really brilliant and artistic. So naturally, if you already give me good stuff, I will continue on looking forward to a lot more good stuff from you but just like what everybody says about expectations; it will soon fail you. This is no different.
I think the beat and the rhythm is really good and Hyomin’s vocals are really suited for these types of songs. Okay, I have to admit, they hit that one right but aside from those things. The whole thing is just plainly a mess. Okay, maybe I have to give in with the bright and cute setting but other than that, nope. I can’t say anything positive with the rest of it.
First and foremost, Body Shaming, Insecurities, Eating Disorders and How Media Manipulates the society’s standards of beauty is already a thing. You don’t need to sing about it anymore. Victims are already as concrete and as real and as accessible as you or my family so no. Portraying it on a song is definitely violating and no, don’t go on telling me that this “might be a satire” because if this is actually satire the effect would not be like this. If they are aiming for women finding strength in a song, they would have gone with something like Pretty Hurts.
The lyrics is actually all about women, trying their hardest to lose weight to attract men. As if men would only fall for those kind of women and it also talked about men thinking about sex because of her perfect figure. That, ladies and gentlemen, is misogyny and nope. Misogyny is not okay. Objectifying women and trying to be like a real life Barbie is really degrading to our humanity. Don’t you think? Being nothing but superficial is nothing but crap and to be human, you need more than looks and weight actually. Well, News Flash! You also need to have sense to be human and feelings and you need to help alleviate human pain and help the world to be a more human friendly place to live in. It’s more than you and yourself and attracting human partners. Being human is more than you looking good and procreating.
What infuriates me most is that, on the status of them being KPop idols, shouldn’t they be more aware that they should impart more positive attitudes to the youth and deliver more useful inspiring messages than “you should be thin to have boys swarming over you”.
I fully know that this whole maddening crazy moniker of lyrics they have is all just for catching our attention and, yeah, they have won us over that. They got my full attention and they got yours too but they don’t get my love which the song begs for => “Give Me Love, Give Love”.
So do I hate Hyomin now?
So do I hate Tara now?
No. Behind every song is a group of staff and people who made the song possible and nope, hating Tara is a bit too much. At least for now.
So do I hate the Brave Bothers?
No. They are great producers and composers.
But if they dare to make another one with these kind of theme. I think I have to reconsider.
Today is this blog’s first anniversary ever! YEEEEEYYYYY!!! A year ago, I summoned all of my courage to have an OMO (Oh My Opinion) on SNSD’s I Got a Boy. Honestly, I was really scared. I was really, really, REALLY scared that I hit the publish button with eyes closed. I thought of the amount of hate comments that might be thrown to me because (what the hell! that was SNSD I just commented on! C’mon!) we all know how huge of a deal SNSD is. It was not a joke but then people approved of what was written on my very first OMO and here I am OMO-ing my way for an entire year.
At first, I thought no one would like what I am delivering on this blog. I estimated that maybe I would never get a hundred views on this blog ever. Never! There are a lot of better mainstream KPop sites and even YouTube KPop channels out there. I am just this tiny dust compared to them. They can even have the power to extinguish me from the internet forever. I thought that this KPop blog will never last this long.
You know what? What do I know about the world and about the internet? You all came to see what I have to say and what KPop has been doing and here is the blog now and I am still reviewing things KPop and there are still views on the blog and there are still people who wants to see what I have written and our photo edits, memes & gifs still get clicks every day. You are all awesome guys!
I don’t really know if there are people out there who regularly visit the blog and I really do not have an idea if you like what we have written here in the blog, we actually rarely get comments but people are flowing in every day. So yeah. That’s a bit scary but it is awesome! (You can freely comment guys… go ahead, we really want to hear your thoughts, seriously.)
To our readers and viewers, we sincerely thank you for allotting an amount of time to see what we have posted and for dropping by. You are the driving force behind our posts in this blog and without you, we could’ve vanished in a snap. I really wish that I could hug you guys but I hope you won’t mind a virtual hug *look out! hugs flying through your computer/ laptop/ phone screen*. =) It is nice to know that somewhere in different parts of the globe there are people who love KPop the way we do. It gives warmth to know that KPop can somehow unify the world in a certain way. Maybe KPop is some kind of magic.
Again, Thank You Very much for sticking with us and we all look forward to spending more years (maybe a hundered years or so? Hehe!) jamming, banging our heads and listening to KPop with you!

Oh… Annyeonghaseyo!!! 🙂 😉 😀
I’m a new admin here- sehoonah. This will be my first ever blog post, so please be good to me. 🙂
I know you guys would think, “why did you even post this?” “Why just now?!” “It’s been weeks already!”
Yeah, yeah, I’m sorry about that. I know that it’s not in the trending topics anymore, but so what? I really want to post this a little late because I need to get over everything first before writing something about it. I need to keep calm before anything else. Well, It’s better late than never, right? 😀
It’s my very first time attending a K-pop concert in my 5 years of being a K-pop fan, and I can say that it is really worth it!!!!!
So here I am, feeling excited to share all of my experiences in the so-called One Epic K-pop Concert – Kpop Republic!
The performers for the event were none other than the handsome boys of SHINee, EXO-K & Crispi Crunch (Csp & Cheezy), and the pretty girls of Dal Shabet & April Kiss’ leader, Soomin!
They announced the concert later in August which made all of the K-pop fans in the Philippines a bit disappointed. Why? Because they don’t have enough time to save money, and the tickets were really expensive. Well yes, there are some who can afford to buy 12,000php worth of tickets in a snap of their fingers, but as you can see, most of the fans in the Philippines are still students, and saving money from their allowances aren’t just enough.
I can say that I’m one of them. To be honest, it’s really hard saving money from your allowance, but because two of my favorite K-pop groups are going to attend the concert (SHINee & EXO-K), I didn’t think twice and got motivated to save money. For almost two months, I was able to save enough, so I happily bought a ticket (UB Silver)! It’s too far from the stage, yes, but at least I will be there to watch and cheer for them, that’s all that matters.
So anyways, let’s move on to the day of the big event…
I wasn’t able to sleep well the night before because I’m just too excited. I woke up feeling light-headed and like I was floating in mid-air. Lol. I didn’t care at all, so I just prepared everything I needed, wore the most comfy clothes I have, jumped in the car, and just slept on our way to Cubao area of Quezon City.
I came at the venue at exactly 12 noon. I was with my brother, aunt and uncle. I already saw some fans lining up on the gates, but I don’t want to wait there for hours. It’s too early to line up, so we decided to go around the Gateway Mall and eat lunch. I was left alone at 2 PM and I guess that was the time when the Press Conference was being held somewhere in the Mall, but I wasn’t really interested because I wasn’t given the chance to be there so I decided to just roam around the mall and outside the venue. I found some people giving away banners and selling K-pop merchandises here and there. I also found new friends who entertained and talked to me while I was waiting for my cousin to arrive.
Me, my cousin, together with her friends, entered the gate at 7 PM. There were no long lines anymore, so we were able to find our seats fast. The event wasn’t starting yet but some fans are already screaming with their light sticks on. I really have no idea why, but as soon as I looked at the LED screens, these videos were being played 1, 2, & 3, and I knew the reason why…
The concert started at exactly 7:30 PM. I was really getting impatient, but when I was about to shout something, the lights turned off. Finally! It started and all I heard were the nonstop screams of the fans. The light sticks were glowing and it’s really a nice view to see. It feels like all of us become one that night. 🙂
They started off with a game. There were 6 chosen fans who were asked to dance to Psy’s “Gangnam Style.” I wasn’t really interested on that part so I didn’t know who actually won. I guess the price was a chance to dance with the Kpop idols, but, that didn’t happen so…
So after that quick game, Christian & Jinri already introduced the performers. As soon as they walked out of the stage. The fans, started cheering already. I wasn’t shouting yet, because it’s not yet my favorite groups’ turn. (Sorry for being biased)
Crispi Crunch and Soomin started off with a blast! They sang their hit, “Thumb’s Up!” Followed by another song, “No Cut!” They also sang their own version of “Gangnam Style” which they changed into “Manila Style.” I really liked how they performed which made all of us sing and danced with them. The crowd was getting hyper and hyper from every song. They really had so much fun on stage. The last song (I guess) they performed was a ballad or something, the title is “Way To Go Father.” And Soomin sang her own version of Nina’s “If I Should Love Again.” Soomin was really beautiful. She looked so calm while singing. And to be honest, Crispi Crunch are great rappers indeed!
Lights went off again. It was already Dal Shabet‘s turn to perform! I am familiar to this girl group, I knew some of their songs but their names, I don’t exactly know who’s who. Well, I like the tall and cute member the most, her name is Ga Eun. The girls were really pretty and indeed sexy! They sang “Have Don’t Have,” “Be Ambitious,” my favorite, “Mr. Bang Bang“, “Bling Bling,” and lastly, “Supa Dupa Diva.”
As promised by the organizers of the event, the girls gave away these cute little bunnies to the lucky fans near the stage (SVIP section).
I was really enjoying the show. Getting excited every minute. I was cheering as loud as the others. I am all alone, just like the chingu beside me, so we just had fun and make the most out of that night.
I noticed that the first two groups sang 5 songs each. So I’m expecting EXO-K and SHINee will also perform 5 songs each. Well, at that time, I was really hoping that EXO-K will perform “XOXO” because that’s my favorite song in their repackaged album. I’m dying to hear them sing that song live! Hehehe. I just waited for them to come out after the lights went off because I was pretty sure that they’re next. Dal Shabet came off the stage, and that’s the moment when the crowds’ screams got louder. I can feel the excitement that time and I’m screaming curses here and there because how can I keep calm, it’s EXO-K!
The lights were on again, and oh my gosh! It’s EXO-K!!!!!! ❤ I really can’t explain what I felt that moment, I guess I was just really happy! Because finally, I saw them, Sehun, Chanyeol, Baekhyun, Kai, D.O and Suho. Just OMG! Mixed emotions, yes. That was the first time ever, okay? So you can’t blame me. :p
The tree of life was so epic! Really! They started with the song “Wolf” and it’s the first time they performed that song as 6. Though it looks incomplete, it was still a great performance! The next song was “History,” it was awesome! And that’s my first ever favorite song of EXO.
After the second song, they introduced theirselves one by one. The cheers were still loud. Haha. We can’t really keep calm. 😀
Sehun is really tall, and indeed drop dead gorgeous. He’s just perfect, okay! My precious baby! (It’s obvious that he’s my bias, right? 🙂 ) Chanyeol with specs is really really handsome! I wanted to cry, he looks so much better in person! Baekhyun is super duper cute and handsome at the same time. I really love his eyes. And, he sang those high notes perfectly! Neck veins were shown, yes. He did well. Kai, oh my gosh, Kai is a sexy beast! A great dancer indeed! While performing, he was so fierce, but when they started talking, he’s being a cutie patootie. Aish. D.O is so squishy! His eyes were really round, so cute, and he looks so happy! He’s too adorable, I just can’t… Then there’s the tiny leader, Suho, who is so flawless! Little Siwon indeed, how can he be so handsome? They were all smiling, laughing, waving to the fans and trying so hard to speak English. Haha. They’re still the kids we all love.
They introduced the next song, and the moment that the music started, I really wanted to cry. When I heard Chanyeol singing “X.O.X.O, X.O.X.O, X.O.X.O, Yeah,” it completely caught me off guard. I was speechless. It was an answered prayer. They’re performing my favorite song! I was singing along, because yeah, I know the lyrics very well, and I was smiling all throughout the song. I was really happy that time. The next song was “3.6.5” and that’s the time they gave away these cute stuffed toys! And that was also the moment Chanyeol proposed to Baekhyun and slipped after. Hahaha!
They talked again and Suho said, “The next song, is last song.” We really didn’t get it at first. I thought they we’re just going to sing the song, “The Last Song,” but it meant that the next song they’re going to perform will be the last song for that night. We were disappointed of course, that’s not really enough. But that’s it, they performed “Growl” for the first time again as 6. They were all sweating a lot, but still, they gave us a great performance. As soon as the song was finished, the lights went off again. Declaring that it was time for the last but definitely not the least, performers, SHINee!
It took minutes before SHINee started performing. They were preparing something on stage, something like a white cloth. They played a short video of SHINee, and after that, the cloth was removed and revealed the members! I was really expecting Minho to be there. They said he just came late, but no, it was just a rumor, he wasn’t present that night! SHINee was incomplete, and my heart felt sad. 😦
They started off with two of my favorite songs, “Dream Girl” and “Lucifer.” As expected, SHINee was great! My precious babies did very well! I am really proud! Hehehe. Taemin is really handsome and looks so manly with his black hair. He’s still my baby! I love him to bits! Key took most of Minho’s parts, and he did well. He’s a stunning diva, and his black hair suits him well! So handsome! Onew was sweating a lot, and yeah, he looks so hot . Hahaha. His voice will forever be perfect. Then there’s Jonghyun, a sexy little man. He looks amazing with his blonde hair.
They introduced themselves one by one, and of course, Key was in charge of doing the talk, because he speaks English better than the other members. He apologized in behalf of Minho, and he promised that they will come back here again as 5. It was really a quick talk before he talked so fast. Haha. The next song was “Stranger,” followed by “Beautiful.” They gave away these cute bears to the lucky fans.
The last song was “Why So Serious.” I was singing along again, and jumping. I was really tired and my throat is already dry but I still did scream a lot, just because, it’s SHINee. 🙂
After that, everyone in the crowd were still screaming and cheering. The lights went off again. Well, it was a 2-hour concert and the time was exactly 9:30 PM, meaning it’s done. That was the moment when all of us were shouting “We want more! We want more!” But it didn’t help at all. The concert was finished. So I stayed there for a moment. I was just sitting there, letting everything sink in. But I really felt numb, I don’t know what I was feeling. Everything was priceless. So maybe, it’s just pure HAPPINESS? 🙂
IT WAS REALLY A GREAT EXPERIENCE!
I suggest that you play Before The Dawn by Infinite for this one, it adds effect on the way you’ll perceive the article, hehehe!
If you are still dazed right now, yes, SM C&C and Woollim entertainment just merged making INFINITE, Nell & TASTY be housed under the newly concocted ‘Woollim Label’.
Some mind boggling questions that are somehow hitting your head right now…
- So does this mean that they are under SM Entertainment?
Somehow, this actually works like the JYP thing where SM has these smaller aggregates but in this case, SM is becomes more of an international distributor for Woollim’s artists.
- Who benefits from this merger?
I think it’s both. See, Woollim artists gets to be distributed worldwide and SM, whether their main acts release anything or not, (as long as Woollim artists release material… well) SM sales will continue to grow anytime of the year.
- But asdfghjkllll!!! What about INFINITE oppas?
uh… I also thought about that. It’s an incoherent question on what will happen to Woollim’s biggest artist but it is said that the managing matter for SM artists and Woollim’s will continue as it was. Yep. They will still have separate management things for that, like, SM artists are still managed under SM and Woollim artists will still be under Woollim & SM’s subsidiary SM C&C. Again, it is just about distribution.
- What the hell is SM thinking?!
See, we hypothesize, (let’s capitalize on that) HYPOTHESIZE that SM is trying to engulf smaller management agencies to expand its business and to have a tighter grip in the KPop market. Its vision is to “..become Korea’s first global music company as well as Asia’s biggest music group.” So yeah, this merger explains something about that. (and yes, there are rumors that Warner will be next. Let us reiterate that, RUMOR)
If you are worried how fanswill actually react on this, I guess for that we would just see in a couple days or months.
So yeah, this is like seeing a new dawn for the KPop industry as it unfolds itself. (Yep, Dawn… did you see what I did there? XD )
…and yeah, I don’t know what’s up with the photo below but this started the whole craze this morning and I really don’t know, but this hinted something, right? (Publicity stunt?!)
WARNING: Teasers AHEAD!
COMEBACKSSSSSS (‘cause 1 ‘S’ isn’t enough)
Infinite just released a teaser for their comeback showing where on earth they’ve shot their upcoming MV “Destiny” – Yep. L.A. (on the set of Transformers & Spider Man, nonetheless) they’re actually the first to actually do so. As a result? I am expecting this one to be as EPIC as I my imagination suggest it’s going to be.
APink’s Secret Garden album jacket photo was released today announcing their comeback tomorrow on M! Countdown and this time, it’s a mini album.
MYNAME will also have a comeback this month and earlier today, they’ve released a comeback medley. They’ve been away for too long so their fans would be ecstatic about this.
Tony An (Okay now where’s Sung Siwon? Yep. Reply 1997 reference here!) just released his mini album and this mini album features Eun Ji Won and Hyun Jun of SMASH.
Have you heard of a track with trot and dance combined? Well, Jewelry is set to do so with the release of their Hot & Cold MV .
2NE1 is also set to have a comeback this month and they’ve released their official photo for their upcoming album. The poster looks palm-y, summer-y and I feel a reggae-ish vibe from it but (what do I know?!) you know Kpop… teaser images will probably fail you.
Which leads us to…..
DARA’S BLONDE HAIR
Yep. A section dedicated only to Dara’s hair. I don’t know why but it is a big issue, at least, for me. She will always, I mean it, look young and beautiful and gorgeous and hot all the time but I am not sure about this hair color change though.
Relationships, Relationships, Relationshipsssss & Won Bin actually wears slippers
Lee Hyori was rumored to tie a knot with her boyfriend of three years, Lee Sang Soon. It was said to be on September but then, their agencies seems to be out of their minds when they confirmed it because, after a while, they also denied it which left us hanging with confusion and amusement. (Aaahh… Entertainment Agencies, Go Home. You’re Drunk!)
I woke up, checked this blog’s twitter account with every single Kpop account I know talking about Won Bin and how he has a girlfriend blah, blah, blah (so I grabbed a popcorn and watch things unfold ‘cause yah, basically, that’s how things work in KPop). The girl was confirmed to be Lee Na Young and their agencies also confirmed that they are actually in a relationship (at least 2 out of 4 entertainment agencies involved in this article is in their right minds while releasing their statements).
What’s funny is that some fans didn’t actually care about the relationship but they have somehow managed to notice that Won Bin is on slippers on the papparazi shots. Yes people, you’re ultimate leading man wears slippers too. (reality check: He’s also human and humans wear slippers. END OF STORY)
Which brings us back to….
DARA! (Yes! Dara again.) Who is being sad about Won Bin’s “unavailability” at the moment.

IU & Eunhyuk
Yeah, It kinda feel that this an oooooold news but yep! We haven’t got over this IU-Eunhyuk thing. It isn’t funny anymore (Remember those Euhyuk topless memes?) This thing is (no, not “out of hand”) LAME and I don’t know why people escalate such things with this two and I think if ever they have been together OR are still together OR are getting married, they don’t really owe us and explanation (Even the president of nations have their right of privacy, enough said.)
2PM vs. Shinhwa’s Sexiness
Who dares to argue that only girl bands can do some crazy magazine poses and butt dance their way off sexiness?
I must admit, I was like: WHAT THE QWERTYUSDFGHJKL!!! When I first saw both comeback stages and both 2PM’s butt swinging thing and Shinhwa’s Vogue dance are unexpected but what do we know?! It’s hot! Nothing less…
To break it down, in my opinion: Shinhwa’s Vogue thing reminds me of those anime/ manga sequences when the male lead breaks into some crazy dance except that Shinhwa’s version is much, much, much sexier but is not less awkward than those anime guys. 2PM’s butt thingy, on the other hand, is a dance out of the blue. It feels like the whole 2PM lead by Nichkhun just suddenly pops up and worked it! It’s like oh… they’ve decided to sit and observe the imaginary girl, their touching their necks, uh they stood up, dance sequence, dance sequence. Wait…. what is Nichkhun doing?! WHAT THE *******!!!!
So who won the sexiness battle? It’s actually up to you. (But yah, I personally picked 2PM but I am not a HOTTEST for that matter).
There’s only one thing that I have realized from these things: You’re never too old and too manly to do girly dance moves.
CL & Lee Hyori’s Bad Girl
I know… YG changed the track name of CL to Baddest Female but, stil, it was supposed to be Bad Girl, right?
I don’t know about the title issues and such but I think YG went to the safest route by changing CL’s. I mean, seniority is a serious matter, at least in Korea so I think they are just being respectful towards Lee Hyori, which is a good thing.
The level of “bad girlness” of both depends on the image that they are trying to imply on the audience. As I see it, Lee Hyori is going after the Madonna route: breaking rules while being sexy and trashing social standards on how it is to become a female in the society that she is questioning while CL is vying with the Swag female rapper position (almost Beyonce with a pinch of Pink actually but the rapper version!): SWAG and gorgeous.
No matter how you see both artists, I think they are sick of the stereotypical female that is imposed on them and they are trying to express themselves by standing out to shout to the world what it takes to be original.
SM’s Overlapping Promotions
Admit it, fandom wars are mostly generated by overlapping schedules of artists in the SAME company/label (which sucks A LOT!)
Time is gold BUT so are our favorite bands and/or individual artists. I hope that SM Ent. will understand that by doing these overlapping things, the fans becomes divided to the point of (online) fighting with each other. I mean it’s not only artists that have fans/stans, Company fans/ stans (fans that supports all/most the artist in the same company) is also trend.
In case you do not know what on earth am I talking about: *cough* EXO, Henry *cough*. See, you have let the boys howl but you also left them trapped (I think, it is a double edged-sword you are using to kill both of your artists here SM).
I don’t know if they are just being business-minded here because if you love both artists; you will definitely buy both albums and you will vote for both on polls. This is where accomplishment issues enter, I guess, accomplishment issues for the artist, the pressure to be up there at number one while you are competing with your colleagues at the same company. I don’t know if this is healthy though.
I think we should ask SM. *rolls eyes*

It’s not anymore a surprise for everybody, especially ShaWols, that Taemin is going to be in We Got Married with Na Eun (A Pink). Yes, two days ago the news was like an earthquake that struck the KPop community. They are all asking one thing: Why out of all the SHINee members it has to be Taemin? ‘cause he’s the youngest and (Hello?!) the guy just turned 20 and it does not seem right. They could’ve just picked his hyungs apparently but according to the show’s PD: He wants “a new couple that will give a vibe of first love”.
Err. Okay. I am sensing a hopeless romantic in that statement. Star-crossed lovers? Romeo and Juliet? Young innocent love? Okay, didn’t he checked his show’s title first? It says “we got MARRIED”. He’s like 19 (international age) and she’s also 19 (international age). It kinda feels weird and they kind of eloped there if this is in real life. Aren’t they too young to be “MARRIED”? I know that I’m on the fangilrs’ side right now, but they are really too young to be on this show. If they are up for the ratings, they will actually get it. Still, they’re too young!
You will get your ratings okay? I just don’t know if you’ll get the parent’s (& the fangirls’) approval for the wedding.
Speaking of relationships and age, I am sure you’ve already heard about Tony An and Hyeri (Girl’s Day). They are apparently in a real-life relationship and according to their agencies: “They’re on the getting-to-know stage”. Age difference? She’s 18 (international age) and he’s 34 (again, international age), 16 years of age gap. It is a bit unusual because yah, he could be her uncle but it is quite normal nowadays too. I just hope that they are really in love with each other and if this relationship will push through, let’s just be happy for the both of them. (But let us comfort Sung Shiwon for the mean time. =D )
For that, here’s a Sung Siwon meme:
Influencing Other People
Psy did not make it to Times list of 100 Most Influential People. This is on a big scale isn’t it? I only remember 2 people from my own country making it to the list. Psy actually did well on the online voting, making it to the 7th spot but, by the end of the day, the editors still have the last say on who are going to be on the list.
Here’s the deal: He might be the biggest hit-maker of 2012 but did he influence you that much? Yes, he is fun and all, he did make you feel good and fun but I guess that’s it. Making it to Time’s 100 Most Influential People of the year takes more than people listening to your music. It actually takes making a difference on the view and lives of the general public and doing something that makes lives better. I think Psy qualified for ‘making lives better’ but let’s just let him be the fun person he is and let’s not make a big fuzz over this Times thing. Let’s just all love Psy and Love KPop.
So yep. Yesung (Super Junior) will be enlisting on May 6th as previously reported by all of the KPop sites that we are all reading. He is definitely spending his time left with his family these days. We all wish him good luck in his stay in the army!
T-ara is coming up with a sub-unit. After their controversy (Hwayoung bullying issue) they seem to be unstoppable on trying to move on but a few days ago, they are being criticized on an Op-Ed because of ‘not having designated a proper amount of time to contemplate on things that they have done’ due to the ‘disturbance’ that have caused during the Hwayoung controversy.
I don’t know if I have any T-ara fan (Queen’s) readers but I am not such a fan of this group. I mean, I have danced to Rolly Polly a lot because it is definitely addicting dance music but I think I am not just into their concepts and such and I really don’t know about CCM (Core Contents Media) artists but they seem not to gain any attention from me (or, maybe, the company’s marketing strategy is not working on me). Sure, I know Eunjung, Qri (because she’s the cute one) and Jiyeon but the rest of the girls are a bit blurry in my memory. I didn’t even know Hwayoung until her bullying incident! (Yah, I bit unforgivable, right?)
This ‘Hwayoung issue’ pre-sequel is a bit foreign to me because of the questioned ‘contemplating time’. I don’t know about other country’s customs on sins, contemplating and forgiveness but if we try to recall on things: CCM and T-ara are not even sorry if ever T-ara did or did not bullied their ex-member. (How about that?! They’re a bit s****y on that one) In the end, they actually expelled Hwayoung right?
I don’t know the whole story on this but I will just try to remind you people: No one will progress if they continually step down on other people. (And where the hell did their ‘new member’ Dani went? Remember, Dani? The one that was casted in School 2013? No? Yes? I don’t blame you.)
Let’s have a positive outlook on things! Shall we?
In case you’ve been sent to outer space this weekend: Psy’s New Song has just been released last Friday on 12am (your country’s time, yep, New Zealand got to listen to the song first)and the MV was released, the next day, Saturday. By Sunday morning (we’re talking about KST), it already got 6M views, by lunch it got 10M views and by the end of that day a whooping 20M views was recorded. Whoa! moment, right? The MVs YouTube hits is rising as I write this and it’s rising fast (and I am not doing any macros about the hits anymore, ‘cause it’s not stopping to rise)
I will be doing a review on Gentleman so I’m not going to say a lot about it on this post but yah: “MOTHER FATHER GENTLEMAN!”
Victoria’s Secret (?)
(very sharp eyes there…).
The story: Victoria (fx) uploaded pics of food on her weibo account which on an average-person’s point of view are just, yah, your regular dishes (and, yes, it might be that she loves food photography right?).
But no dear people, they are not your normal food photos! With these photos lies an uncanny evidence that YES Victoria and Changmin (TVXQ) are indeed with each other for this particular meal. See that reflection on the spoon? (You can zoom in if you need to) That’s Changmin. Victoria’s photo + Changmin’s Reflection = (we don’t have to say the obvious, don’t we?) Yep. People, you cannot trust even your silver wares these days.
But we dare to say that whatever the status is between these two talented artist, it is way beyond our concern and why can’t we just let them be happy at the first place? But it is quite surprising that SM admitted something. (for a change, maybe?) We can see that they enjoyed the meal and (maybe) so with the staff (whether they are really there or not). Let’s just get over the fact that artists are people too (and like what we always say) they also have feelings, they have their own decisions, own emotions and whatever the outcome is, we (fans) should always be there to support, understand and respect whatever decisions are there. It’s their life people, not ours.
B.A.P Decided To Help Us Learn How To Dance (to their amazing One Shot Choreo)
This dance was never easy! So the B.A.P boys decided to lend a hand and help us do their seemingly impossible to learn dance moves.
I hope this video will really help some KPop dance enthusiast out there. It doesn’t include the scorpion and the back thing (’cause we all know that’ll really hurt)
and in case you are all wondering……. => (I tried, errr… I guess, my love for dancing is not a mutual thing between dancing and myself. I should really just have to let go of dancing right? haha!)
